There are numerous animals and species that have existed on our diversified planet. We encounter new animal and plant species every year, and many of them have already vanished forever. Few days ago I have visited a forest at Shillong, city of India and I saw Deer which name is “SAMBER DEER”. The scientific name of Samber Deer is “RUSA UNICOLOR” .  Not only this, there are more different species living in this earth according to Geographic range among Samber Deer.Like, Formosan Samber, Malayan Samber, South China Sumber, Mainland Southeast Asian Sumber, Sri Lankan Sumber. 

Classifications:

Kingdom        : Animalia

Class               : Mamalia

Order              : Artiodactyla

Family            : Cervidae

Genus             : Rusa

Species            : Rusa Unicolor

Characteristics:

1) Female bulls do not have horns, only males grow horns.

2) Though there are different colors, the subspecies have markings on the ribs and underside.

3) There is a mixture of orange color and gray color in Rusa Unicolor

4) Running speed 30 km/h.

Habitat:

These deer normally weigh between 200 and 800 pounds and stand between 40 and 63 inches tall at the shoulder, however they can get as large as 1,200 pounds. It seldom ventures too far from water sources and may be found in tropical dry woods, tropical seasonal forests, subtropical mixed forests with conifer stands, highland grasslands, broadleaved deciduous trees, and tropical rainforests.
